First off, the committee would like to thank everyone who came out and attended the reunion. For those who were unable to attend, we hope that the 25th-year reunion will be even bigger with your support.
We still have t-shirts for sale. Those who paid to attend the reunion can get one for free. Those who didn't can still purchase one for 10 dollars. All sizes still available.
Our scholarship money collected on the night of the reunion amounted to nearly 800 dollars.
We will be sending out a CD later on when all the pictures are gathered up from the many people who took them at the various events. Once that has been completed, we will be sending out a CD that will contain a powerpoint slideshow and a memory book.
For those who have not filled out the memory book, you can still do so through the website HERE. You can submit your family or personal photo to ClaremoreZebras89@gmail.com.
We will be allowing a small window of time to get this information in. Once that time has passed, we will send out the CD to all those that paid. Those who didn't pay can still purchase the CD by making a 10 dollar payment. Any extra money collected will be used for our 25th reunion. A total expense is/will be available upon request to any member. We want to assure to our graduates that all money spent is accounted for. Our hope is that our 25th Reunion will remain just as reasonable.
We also have a survey that will be posted soon, so that all graduates have a chance to voice their opinion about the reunion. Is there something else we can do to improve the reunion? Give us your input.
Also, keep checking the blog for further updates.
Thanks,
The Class of 89 Reunion Committee

Hurry: Get us your info for the memory book!
Message from the reunion committee:
If any classmates have not submitted info for the Memory Book and you want to be included, there is still time. Just fill out the Memory Book webform on the left side of this webpage.
Also, due to the low number of responses for the Memory Book, and the anticipated number of last minute responses, there will not be a hard copy of the Memory Book available at the reunion. It is likely that the profiles and pictures for the memory book will be provided on a CD to reunion attendees, and that these will be mailed after the reunion.

Dear fellow classmates:
Our August 15th deadline is less than a week away. We need YOU to commit ASAP.
Other activities graduates can attend during our Reunion: Dave Burrows (Treasurer of the CHS Alumni) informed the committee that there is a luncheon for all graduates the day of the reunion. This luncheon will be at the Elks Lodge and will cost each guest 15 dollars. Also, if any of you are wanting to go to the luncheon and the Pep Assembly that day, please let us know. Many of the committee members will be attending both the luncheon and the Pep Assembly as per tradition. We hope that you will come, but let us know ahead of time so they know how many spots to reserve.

OFFICIAL REUNION LETTER
Class Reunion of Claremore 1989
It has now been twenty years since we graduated, and although some might not want to hear this, our union is just around the corner. For the past several months, members of our class have been spending countless hours to make sure this reunion is very special for all. Make sure you clear your calendar for October 1-3, 2009. On the evening of October 1st, we will construct our home coming float for the 2009 home coming parade on Friday, October 2nd. That evening all classmates are welcome to attend the football home-coming game at Lawton Field. After the game, all that wish to continue such gathering, are invited to the Elks Lodge Alumni party. BYOA!! Saturday afternoon will be designated family time. We will have a picnic at Claremore Lake. That evening we will have our final gathering at Cherokee Casino.
Our biggest concern facing the reunion involved the price for such activities. We want the price to be affordable for all that choose to participate. The cost is $50 per person or $100 per couple. The cost of the reunion will go to pay for the following items: renting the room at the Casino, catering, DJ, prizes, decorations, sandwich for the picnic, nametags, memory book, $500 dollar scholarship that each class donates on their 20th reunion, as well as any other incurred expenses. Any funds remaining after all expenses will be for our 25th reunion. All money is documented and is overseen by the committee. You can mail payment to CHS Class of 1989, PO BOX 1632, Catoosa, OK 74015 or by Pay Pal account which is linked to our official website. If you and your spouse or significant other wishes to attend, please make your payment by September 15th 2009 to avoid the $25 penalty. It is very important all money is received before that date to pay our expenses and have a better idea of how many will be attending.
For those who do not know, we also have an official website for our reunion. Paul Ziriax created the site to keep our graduates informed about upcoming events, www.zebras89.blogspot.com. That site includes a list of lost zebras. The list includes people we have been unable to get in contact with for whatever reason. If you have information that will help locate these lost graduates, please let us know by email (using the blog page) or by calling Bruce Rogers at 918-557-3622. We really want everyone to have the opportunity to join us in our celebration.
Included in this letter is a questionnaire for the memory book. Please mail the completed form along with payment to CHS Class of 1989, PO BOX 1632, Catoosa, OK 74015. Watch the website for the ability to complete this form online. We ask that you also include a digital photo of yourself and family as part of the memory book. The ultimate goal is to have the memory books available at the time of the reunion.
Another important note is yearbooks are available for purchase as well. Mrs. Brankle of Claremore High School is now doing year books. She has informed the committee that a yearbook from 1989 can be purchased for the price of $40 and will be on a first come first serve basis.
It is our hope that this reunion be very special. It’s a chance to catch up and visit with people you may have not seen in 20 years. We hope to see you there. T-Shirts will be given out to all those that attend the reunion. Please include your shirt size with payment.
Thanks again, and hope to see you there….. Claremore Zebras 1989, we are old, but ‘still rockin’.
Please complete the following and mail with payment:
I will be attending:
____ Float Construction _____ Will participate in home coming parade
____ Family Picnic How many will attend _____
____ Casino
____ Shirt Size (S,M,L, XL,XXL, etc)
CHS CLASS OF 1989 ZEBRA MEMORY BOOK
This form will be available in electronic format online at the official website: www.zebras89.blogspot.com
Or, you may complete this form and email it w/ photo attachments to Bruce Rogers: baabnok@yahoo.com
If you do not have internet access, please fill out this form and mail to Wendy (Hazle) Jones:
4212 Riders Mark Edmond, OK 73025
Deadline: August 15th
PLEASE SUBMIT ONLY ONE DIGITAL PHOTO OF YOURSELF OR FAMILY FOR YOUR INFO PAGE

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT OUR REUNION
Dear fellow classmates:
We still have around 60 classmates that have not been located. Please check out the “lost list”below to see if you might have the info that allows us to get in contact with them. We want everyone from our class to get the opportunity to be able to attend our 20th reunion.
Also, there have only been a handful of people who have committed to the reunion at this time. NOT good. We know that most of you are procrastinators, but we would really like to see most do it early rather than waiting for the August 15th deadline. It will help us organize our reunion better. One key issue is t-shirts. I would like to see us make our first purchase order soon, so we can get the t-shirts process started. In order for that to happen, people need to start committing to the reunion and send in their dues as well as their t-shirt sizes.
Also, Wendy and Suzanne will need your information on the memory book quickly. We want the memory book to be ready at the time of the reunion, and that will be difficult if people are sending in that information late. The worst thing that can happen is people wait till the August 15th deadline, and then our volunteers become overwhelmed with work. We all are very busy and we don’t need to make things stressful on those who are volunteering their time. So please, get that information in quickly.
Just a reminder the cost of the reunion is 50 dollars per person and 100 per couple.
Another reminder is for those planning to stay the night need to get in their reservations at the Cherokee Casino ASAP. (You can book your room at http://www.cherokeecasino.com/.) We were told that rooms are filling fast due to several other classes (including three from Claremore) who will be celebrating their class reunion the same weekend.
Our next class meeting will be held August 8th at 7 PM Jeff Koger’s house. We will have a guest speaker from the Claremore Alumni Association who will be explaining the other activities that the foundation will be sponsoring. All those wishing to attend are welcome, and if you need instructions to Jeff’s house, just email the website and we will get those out to you ASAP.
Finally, those of you who have not received your official letter of invitation should be receiving one shortly. Some collected information was received late, therefore, some might not have received it. If you are on the “lost list” it makes it impossible to send out the letter because we do NOT have your information. You will need to send that information through the website in order to get your official letter of invitation. We will need an email, a phone number, and a mailing address.
Thanks again,
Bruce Rogers

Recap of June 6th Reunion Meeting
Update for meeting of June 6th 2009.
We have now sent out our official invitation letter. For those receiving the letter, you will be asked many questions from whether you will be attending the reunion to your t-shirt size. If you do not receive an official letter soon, you will need to contact us through our website email. The price of the reunion is going to be $50 per graduate and $50 for spouse or significant other. A big thanks goes out to all those attending, helping to stuff envelopes and compose the letters. We have also included a questionaire inside the official letter to help Wendy and Suzanne in their quest to put together a memory book for the reunion.
The August 15th date is the deadline to get your money in and to be included in the memory book. Please help us out by sending your money in as early as possible. Those who are not sure of their plans can still attend the reunion with a $25 additional fee.
Those attending the meeting included: Jeff Koger, Tara Koger, Jerry Gosnell, Anja Grant, Stephanie Angle-Walls, Jason and Wendy Jones, Mike Brasher, Kellie Epps-Einemo, and Stacey Harrill-Allbritton.
Please, we can't stress this more... Look at the lost list. If you know a parent or even just an address, or maybe a friend who can locate one of our lost zebras, send in the information. We are running out of time and many people will need to plan ahead to ensure they will be able to come. Our next meeting will be Saturday July 11, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the Koger home.
Thanks again,
Bruce Rogers

REUNION EVENTS
Friday, October 2:
- Homecoming parade
- Homecoming football game
- Homecoming after-party
Saturday, October 3:
- Family picnic lunch
- Saturday evening reunion dinner/party at Cherokee Hotel and Casino, Catoosa
DEPOSIT MADE
A $500 has been made to the Cherokee Hotel and Casino toward the 20-year reunion party. The funds came from money leftover from the 10-year reunion that was in the Class of 1989 bank account. (NOTE: Brooke Tuggle Purdum, Troy Anderson, and Wayne Johnson are our liaisons to the Cherokee Casino.)
TICKETS/COST
No cost for reunion tickets has been determined yet. The committee is still in the process of determining the costs of such items as catering, a DJ, etc., before setting the price for individuals and couples. Once tickets go on sale, the deadline to purchase them will likely be in August. Brooke Tuggle Purdum will set up an account with Pay-Pal and provide receipts for class mates paying for activities by check.
FLOAT
The Class of 89 will have a float in the Homecoming parade on Friday, October 2, at approximately 3:30 p.m. All Class of 1989 members are welcome to be in the parade and ride on the float. Erick Rawding and Jeff Koger are heading up the float committee. We are planning to assemble float on Thursday, October 1st at Stillwater Milling. We need volunteers to help assemble the float. The truck, trailer and assembly area are being provided by Erick Rawding.

Reunion Update / Next Planning Meeting Set
Below is an email message sent 03/26/2009 by BRUCE ROGERS to our classmates:
Hi all fellow 89ers. Just some information on up and coming events.
April 4th is our second meeting. The meeting will take place at 7PM at Jeff Koger's house. He lives out near the golf course, so if you plan on attending the meeting please RSVP me so we can give Jeff an idea of how many are coming. I've spoken to Jeff and he assures me that ALL ARE WELCOME!
We will continue to plan our reunion. The first priority is networking to find all lost 89ers. If you know any our lost 89ers, please [send an email to ClaremoreZebras89@gmail.com].
We do have some plans set for our reunion. Friday October 2nd, we are to meet at the NEW football field (BTW same place that it was, just reconstructed) and we will have our own special section reserved. There are other plans in the work, but we will wait to announce them later, as we get more input from our 89ers.
The cost of the reunion is yet to be determined. We suspect it will be around 50 dollars per family. We are looking for a volunteer that will have a pay-pal account and track all money coming in. We will need this money for our activities, but we tried to keep the cost as low as possible. So anyone want to volunteer to handle the money? A pay-pay account is mandatory.
Also Paul Ziriax is creating our own reunion page. Hopefully it will be up and running soon and we can all connect through his website. Also, facebook has been a wonderful way of networking for our 89ers. It doesn't take much info, and we have well over 100 Claremore gradulates on it.
Thanks for all your help classmates, and hopefully we will see you at Jeff Kogers...
Your fellow graduate,
Bruce Rogers
